Delia’s stories span the African diaspora. Her Orwell prize-winning novel, Moses, Citizen, and Me, is set in Sierra Leone, her biography of the BBC’s first black programme-maker, The Life of Una Marson 1905-1965, stretches across the Caribbean and includes London and Washington DC; and she is currently working on historical pieces about black people with global significance.
